Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newcomer Joyce Giraud is quite an accomplished lady, and we’re not just talking about the fact that she’s figured out the key to perfect hair.
Take a look: According to her Wikipedia profile, Joyce finished high school at age 16 and completed two bachelor’s degrees by the age of 19; she’s been Miss Puerto Rico (twice!) and placed second runner-up in the Miss Universe pageant; and, as her Bravo bio notes, she works with UNICEF and founded her own charity-focused beauty pageant, Queen of the Universe. All of this and she’s not even 40 yet!
The brunette stunner was born on April 4, 1975 in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, which makes her 38 years old. (And she looks fabulous, we have to say!) Joyce graduated high school and went on to earned degrees in special education and social work from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, after which she got into pageants and dabbled in modeling.
Following her success in beauty pageants, Joyce ventured into acting. She moved to Miami, and then made the cross-country switch to Los Angeles in 2001. The new Housewife has appeared in TV shows such as Baywatch and The Bold and the Beautiful, and recently was seen in the film The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.
In 2009, Joyce married the man she affectionately calls her “bald, fat man,” Hollywood film producer Michael Ohoven. They have two sons together, Leonardo and Valentino.
