We've seen plenty of episodes of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills end in tears. But why was Kyle Richards sobbing off-camera recently?
On January 19, Kyle took to Twitter to let her fans know that she and five-year-old daughter Portia recently watched the 2013 documentary film Blackfish. The film focuses on life in captivity for orcas at SeaWorld.
"We finally saw #blackfish & Portia & I cried our eyes out," Kyle writes. "PLEASE boycott #seaworld & spread the word RT."
Kyle also added a comment from Portia. "From @PortiaUmansky : please don't go 2 #SeaWorld — the whales need our help because they can't speak for themselves."
Kyle's message was largely well-received by people on Twitter, who thanked her for spreading the word about the cause. However, one person in particular responded to say that SeaWorld also does a lot of good.
To that, Kyle replied, "I'm sure they do, BUT whales should be FREE. End of story #seaworld #blackfish."
Kyle is not the first Real Housewives star to take a stand for animal rights. Real Housewives of Miami star Joanna Krupa has protested against the sale of fur, including at the Kardashian family's boutique, Dash.
Are you surprised that Kyle is voicing her opinion on this cause? And how do you feel about what she has to say?
