Adrienne Maloof turned a business trip into a family vacation when she came to New York City for a recent appearance at Lord & Taylor to promote her new shoe line. Adrienne and her hubby, Dr. Paul Nassif, brought their three young boys with them and took advantage of all the Big Apple has to offer during Christmastime, including a trip to F.A.O. Schwartz, a visit to the tree at Rockefeller Center and a show featuring the Rockettes.
When it came time for Adrienne to work, she was greeted by hundreds of fans who lined up for a chance to have her sign an autograph and, in many cases, a pair of their new Adrienne Maloof by Charles Jourdan heels!
After the two-hour meet and greet, Adrienne sat down with Wetpaint Entertainment to chat about her future design plans, what’s still to come on this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and whether or not she’s ready for Season 3!
Wetpaint Entertainment: That was a crazy turnout! There were so many people, some had to be turned away at the end.
Adrienne: I know, I hate when that happens! But, yes, it was an amazing turnout. I’m so grateful.
You’ve said that, after this collection with Charles Jourdan, you’d be interested in developing your own line. Is that still the plan?
Yes, and we’re actually moving very quickly on getting my own line out while continuing to work with Charles Jourdan, so that’s really exciting.
We’ve seen a TON of drama on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this season. How much more is there still to come?
Oh, there’s a lot more drama coming, believe me.
Are you onboard for Season 3?
I’m still trying to get through Season 2! But I do enjoy doing the show and I’ve been having a good time. We’ll see.
In times of crisis on the show, you often assume the role of peacemaker. Is that something that comes naturally to you?
I think, growing up in a family business with my brothers and having to, at the end of the day, make things work because you live together and you run a business together really prepared me for this job. Because it is, you know, a job. And I think it’s just in my personality to be a peacekeeper.
You brought Brandi Glanville onto the show. How do you think she’s doing on her first season?
Well, I met her through a mutual friend and she was going through a divorce and I thought it might be nice to bring her into the mix. So far, I think she’s doing quite well. It’s an adjustment having the cameras around all the time.
Season 2 isn’t even over and we’re already hearing rumors about Season 3, like who’s returning, who isn’t…
You’re going to hear a lot of rumors, it’s the nature of the beast. But I will say one thing: On this show, you never know!
