Adrienne Maloof''s Hair: Tasteful or Tacky?

Like most women, the RHoBH ladies love to accessorize. And this year, in the spirit of the season, Adrienne Maloof is sporting a little accessory called hair tinsel, an open tribute to the popular holiday ornament. Yes, you read right. Hair tinsel.
Hair tinsel is exactly what it sounds like — strands of colored, metallic tinsel glued or tied into your existing hair, like extensions. This totes aprops accessory has created quite a buzz ‘cause of how ridic (and ridiculously gorgeous) it is.
Where did Adrienne find such a crazy (read: awesome) hair accessory? According to Us Weekly, Adrienne gets her tinsel-locks done at Michael Boychuck’s Amp Salon at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas — which Adrienne owns, conveniently. Her golden glitter strands are from Vegas-based Pop Tinsel (but you can order them online from anywhere — score!)
If you’re looking to get in on a little bit of the sparkle (and don’t live in Vegas, own a casino or have hundreds to spend), several other brands of tinsel hair are available all over the Internet for cheap (think $25 or less.) We also found some pretty simple vids that explain how to do-it-yourself. But if you’re a tinsel or extension newb, we recommend contacting salons in your area that already do extensions to ask if they’ll install the hair bling for you.
