After some back and forth, Alexis Bellino ultimately decided to return for Real Housewives of Orange County Season 8. From the looks of the premiere episode, Alexis doesn’t seem to have any regrets about jumping back into the housewives fray. But she does want to clear the air about some nasty rumors lingering from Season 7.

In her Bravo blog, Alexis goes into detail about Tamra Barney’s hurtful “Jesus Jugs” comment and how she had no intention of suing her co-star over the insult — but some of Tamra’s other statements were definitely worth of taking legal action against.

“Jim and I went through a year of Tamra making false accusations, spreading false rumors, and telling lies and we were tired of it,” wrote Alexis. “You CAN sue for defamation, slander, and libel and that is exactly what we were prepared to do if she didn't stop. Once we met with our attorney and heard our rights, we knew we had a case. I have all the tweets saved, all the quotes documented, and we had enough evidence to pursue a case, so we made it known. And I guess she got the point (that we would have sued her) because she shut up.”

Alexis went on to reinforce how far she would go to defend her family, writing, “I have a pair of boxing gloves buried in my heart, and they are prepared to come out when my family is under attack.”

While she admits the harsh comments from Tamra and the other housewives led her initial decision to quit Real Housewives of Orange County, Alexis Bellino said she reconsidered her stance after thinking about how quitting the show would affect her kids.

“I didn't want to send the message to my children that it was OK to quit when times got tough,” Alexis wrote. “I decided I wasn't going to allow anyone to bully me out of my career.”

Whatever the case, we’re glad Alexis is back in the mix!
