Alexis Bellino on Real Housewives' “Mean Girls” Tamra Barney and Gretchen Rossi
Ever since her “intervention” in the Costa Rica episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, things have been touchy with Alexis Bellino and her castmates. Now that the reunion show has been filmed, she’s speaking up about which co-stars she’s still friends (and which she’s not).
In an interview with Radar Online, Alexis explained that of all the ladies, she’s closest to Vicki Gunvalson off-camera. “I’m definitely close to Vicki, and that’s not a façade … We’re very guarded, and we’re realistic in the fact that one of us could get hurt,” she explained. “Vicki and I really do love each other as people, and [her boyfriend] Brooks is a very nice guy. He’s gotten a bad rap too this season, but [he] seems to be a very loving supportive boyfriend to Vicki … everyone else just needs to butt out of that.”
Alexis also thinks she and Heather Dubrow got off on the wrong foot. “I really didn’t think [Heather and I] were going to have issues at all this season, but she definitely did … say some hurtful things and jump on Tamra’s bandwagon,” says Alexis. But it’s not all bad between the new Housewife and Alexis. “Since we’ve taped the reunion… we’re not enemies, so I’m hopeful next season we’ll have a fresh start,” she explained.
As for the rest of the Housewives, Alexis blames Tamra Barney for the deterioration of her friendship with Gretchen Rossi. “I feel like they were the mean girls from high school the whole season. I feel like it started the first episode, and I feel like it was mostly her [Tamra] doing the smack-talking … and she kind of lured Heather and Gretchen into the mix, and it’s unfortunate,” she said.
