In addition to being Bravo's senior vice president and Host With the Most, Andy Cohen is now a published author, having released memoir Most Talkative: Stories From the Front Lines of Pop Culture. While promoting the book in the Sunshine State, he chatted with the Miami New Times' Cultist blog about both his life and the city's local Housewives.
For one, he's not surprised by the show's success. "I always knew it was going to do well. It's one of my favorite franchises."
But he does 'fess up to some speed bumps along the way, like the infamous live Season 1 reunion special. "So sad, right? I'll never do a reunion in the [Bravo] clubhouse again; we were on top of each other."
And when pressed to name the Housewife he loves most, he at least tries to not play favorites. "I don't have a favorite. I am like a proud mother; I love all the ladies equally," he says, before adding, "I take that back — Mama Elsa is my favorite. She is everything."|
In the rest of the interview, Andy talks about his love for the city and its men, his status as a gay icon, and the most challenging chapter of both his book and his life.
We're so glad he brought the franchise to the 305. Real Housewives without Miami is, well, like Bravo without Andy!
