If you thought Brandi Glanville was a force to be reckoned with on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, just wait until she gets going off-screen. Extremely protective of her kids, Brandi’s mama bear instincts have gone into overdrive thanks to her ex-husband’s new wife, LeAnn Rimes. Brandi claims LeAnn is not healthy enough to parent the kids at this time.

First, Brandi got upset over a video of her son Jake riding a bike without a helmet that LeAnn posted. Now, she tells Us Weekly that Mason, her nine-year-old, got “extremely ill” when he ate LeAnn’s laxatives thinking they were candy.

According to Brandi, “LeAnn has a severe eating disorder. She has [a laxative] in every purse. Mason found one on the floor and thought it was a Skittle!” Eating the laxative made Mason “extremely ill,” Brandi says.

"I, unfortunately, don't find her to be stable and I don't want her around my kids when Eddie's not there — or at least the nanny, his parents, someone," says Brandi. “It was a big f**king deal for me, and I lost my mind."

She knows her sons love LeAnn, “but they don't realize that, you know what, if he ate more than two laxatives -- what if he ate the whole box -- it's just not OK.” Brandi is hoping her ex, Eddie, will realize LeAnn isn’t “stable” right now. “She's not healthy,” Brandi says. “And until she's healthy, I don't want her around my children by herself. Eddie is a proper human being. He's a good dad, he's smart, he doesn't have an eating disorder, he doesn't have mental issues, he's a normal person, and I want him to man up.”

It doesn’t sound like Brandi and Eddie are on the same page, though. He responded to the claims in a statement to Us Weekly, saying, "It is absolutely ridiculous that my ex-wife continues to put the personal lives of myself, LeAnn, our sons and my family on public display for the sake of her notoriety. […] My wife, LeAnn, continues to be a loving and positive influence on the lives of my sons. […] If my ex-wife truly cared about the welfare of our sons, she would stop the constant bashing on an important person in their lives.”
