Kim and Kyle Richards are closer than they’ve been in years, but that doesn’t mean their relationship has been easy to mend.

The elder Richards sister’s struggle with alcoholism was well documented in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 2, and although Kim successfully completed a rehab program, her sobriety has still been a sensitive subject between her and Kyle.

Kim’s odd behavior worried everyone, especially Kyle, during the housewives’ trip to Paris in Season 3, Episode 16.

So when Andy Cohen asked Kim during the Season 3 reunion whether her relationship with Kyle has been, Kim responded, “We still have a lot of work to do I’m sure. I watched a lot of this season and I was hurt by a lot of what I saw.”

Kim added, “I need her. I need her support.”

Andy then asked Brandi Glanville about her take in the sisters’ dynamic, and she answered, “I felt that Kyle was always doubting Kim’s sobriety. I almost feel like it would make her happy if she failed.”

Understandably, that pushed Kyle Richards over the edge.

“You know nothing about my history or what i have gone through with my sister,” Kyle said, as her voice began to crack. Starting to cry, she said to Brandi, “That is the meanest thing you could say.”

Do you think Brandi crossed the line with her comment?
