If there’s one thing we can appreciate about Brandi Glanville, it’s that she sticks to her guns and doesn’t make excuses.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star appeared on The Today Show to promote her new book, Drinking & Tweeting and Other Brandi Blunders. She didn’t mince words when it came to her motivations for writing the book or how it would affect her relationship with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian.

“I don't know that I do everything that’s appropriate in life,” she told host Willie Geist. “One day all of this will be available for my kids to read. I think what they’re gonna take away from it is that throughout this entire time, I’ve never said a bad word about their dad in front of them.”

Speaking of Eddie, Today reached out to him for a comment about the book and the actor released a statement that said, “I certainly wish I handled some of the choices I made four years ago differently, but I have been conscious of the choices I have made since. Although this exploitative book, intended to hurt LeAnn [Rimes] and me, will ultimately only hurt and scar my kids. That deeply saddens and concerns me.”

But Brandi explained that as a single mother not receiving financial support from her former spouse, she had little choice but to air her dirty laundry and write the tell-all book.

“With Eddie not working and me having to pay my own bills, this book will help me do that,” she said. “Unfortunately I had to write this book. I have to pay the bills; he’s not doing that for me.”

Obviously, the resulting work has created a sizable rift between Brandi, Eddie, and his now-wife, LeAnn Rimes. But the former model isn’t too worried about that bond at the moment.

“I haven't had a relationship with them in probably over a year,” she confessed.

But Brandi made it clear that after the book tour is over, she will lay her anger toward Eddie and LeAnn to rest.

“When this book tour is done,” she said, “I’m done talking about them completely, in public, not on Twitter, nothing. This is my last chapter when it comes to talking about them publicly.”
