When word broke that country singer LeAnn Rimes was in contention to become a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, we were sure that current housewife Brandi Glanville would be the first to publicly shoot the idea down. After all, LeAnn is married to her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian, and there is no love lost between the two women. But does Brandi actually want LeAnn to become her co-star?

Apparently Brandi is totally on board with the idea! Why would she want to spend so much face time with her arch nemesis?

“Brandi is a very smart cookie and recognizes that if LeAnn Were to join the cast, the audience would hate her even more,” a source told Radar Online.  “Brandi loves playing the victim and having LeAnn on the show would allow her to continue in that role as the long-suffering, spurned ex-wife.”

Evidently, this could be part of Brandi’s master plan to increase her ever-growing popularity with fans, which she could then parlay into a spin-off show like pal Lisa Vanderpump’s new Bravo hit, Vanderpump Rules.

LeAnn is reportedly not interested, but Brandi reportedly doesn’t care. “Brandi isn’t surprised that LeAnn has turned down the offer to be on the show,” the source added. “But she feels that the country singer owes it to her to sign on after breaking up her marriage.”

If Brandi and LeAnn were both on the reality show, it would mean a lot of run-ins with her ex and his new wife, but what about her kids? Brandi and Eddie’s two sons haven’t been a part of the show so far, and adding them to the mix would make things even more volatile because Brandi’s biggest LeAnn-related blow-ups have been about the kids.

As always, Brandi draws the line at her children. “Brandi has been adamant that her sons with Eddie Cibrian absolutely wouldn’t be a part of any filming with LeAnn,” the source said. “She would shield them from all of the drama, as she has always done.”

Considering Brandi thinks her current enemy co-star Adrienne Maloof is meaner than LeAnn, we’re sure she’d have no problem dealing with a LeAnn level of drama.

But more to the point: Can you imagine if Brandi and LeAnn actually had to insult each other face to face, instead of via Twitter and talk shows?! That’s television gold.
