During the Season 1 reunion of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Vanderpump’s erstwhile houseguest, Cedric Martinez, got a chance to show how his life had changed after leaving her mansion. But don’t expect him to appear in this season’s reunion, because he announces in a press statement that Lisa has had him “banned from RHoBH.” Yet, he still wants to weigh in on all the drama. Cedric found Part 1 of the reunion “sad,” except for Lisa “getting crushed under the weight of her own lies,” which he thought was “hilarious.”
Though he does concede that “physical abuse is always wrong,” according to Cedric, Taylor Armstrong’s marriage to Russell was very different from how it appeared during the show’s run. “Bravo, the producers, Taylor, Lisa and Kyle once again used the power of a hit TV show to trash the memory of a dead man,” Cedric writes. “Although Russell was ultimately responsible for his own actions, Taylor (and the producers) greatly contributed to the suicide of a broken man. And despite a well-orchestrated character assassination, Russell's blood is on their hands.”
Cedric has even more harsh criticisms of Taylor for publishing her memoir so soon after Russell’s suicide in August of 2011: “The release of a book six [sic] month's after her husband's suicide speaks volumes about Taylor's desperation and self-loathing. Her insta-memoir will further bury Russell's memory with lies and half-truths, of which he can't defend himself against.”
As for Adrienne Maloof’s accusations that Lisa sells stories to Radar Online (which the site denied on January 31), Cedric thinks that while the British beauty is technically correct that she’s never been paid for a story, she still benefits from speaking with them. “Lisa trades stories (on celebrities and the other housewives) for favorable press for herself and her restaurants; and sometimes for negative press about her enemies.” Martinez says he has proof to back up these allegations but does not go into any further detail.
Despite all appearances to the contrary — that Lisa and Brandi Glanville have become close friends since their time in Hawaii — Cedric is convinced that Lisa and Kyle Richards want to “use their unbridled power over the weak producers to kick [Brandi] off the show just like they did to me!”
Finally, Cedric admits that he’s out for attention — though he says he’s simply “pursuing opportunities,” while Lisa and Taylor are exploiting them — and he really wants to appear on Watch What Happens Live! for a showdown with Bravo’s Andy Cohen. Something tells us this alleged RHoBH ban is going to spread Bravo-wide.
