Way to stay hydrated, Gretchen!
For those of us still left shaking our heads at the reconciliation of notorious Real Housewives of Orange County frenemies Gretchen Rossi and Tamra Barney, Gretchen offers her side of the story in her latest Bravo blog. Finally, some answers!
Gretchen says she was very disappointed by her appearance on the show last season. “I saw a woman that wasn't me. I saw a woman that was angry, resentful, and had become negative in some ways,” she wrote.”I just realized I had to let it go in order for my own spirit to repair itself.”
Gretchen says an “Act of God helped changed [her] way of thinking.” One afternoon at church, her pastor said, “When we do not allow ourselves to forgive we only hurt ourselves.” Afterward, Gretchen writes that she sat quietly in her chair and argued with God before realizing that although she was still hurt and angry with Tamra, the only way to heal was to let go. Daily devotional e-mails on the subject of forgiveness helped her work through her pain.
Gretchen says she realizes everyone heals in their own way and her story might not resonate with everyone. However, she says she’s “so grateful” she was able to forgive Tamra and is happy for their newfound friendship. “Seriously it does sound like we are dating. . .doesn't it?” she writes.
Yeah. It kinda does.
