Happy birthday, Kyle Richards! The raven-haired reality maven, star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, turns 43 today, January 11, 2013. In honor of Kyle’s big day, we’re celebrating with 10 of the (many, many!) reasons we can’t wait to watch her every week.

1. She’s a great mom
Whether it’s teaching Alexa to drive or throwing Portia an amazing birthday party, we love watching this mama dote on her kids.

2. She values her marriage
It helps that her husband Mauricio is HOT with a capital HOT, but it’s nice to see a reality couple that genuinely loves one another and knows how to make a marriage work.

3. She keeps it real
No shrinking violets here — Kyle will let you know what’s on her mind, whether you like it or not!

4. She’ll do anything to bond with her sister
Kyle and her sister, fellow Real Housewife Kim, have had a rocky relationship, but they faced their fears on reality TV to bring them closer than ever.

5. She shares her beauty secrets
Kyle’s crowning glory is her gorgeous mane, and we love that she is a proud brunette in a sea of Beverly Hilly blondes. We also love that she shares the secret to her glossy locks, and tweets photos of herself looking crazy while getting a facial. What can we say; we like a lady that doesn’t pretend she just rolled out of bed that way!

6. She knows how to let loose
We’d totally get tipsy and do gymnastics with her in Ojai.

7. She keeps busy
Mauricio makes a killing in high-end real estate, but she doesn’t rest on his laurels! She’s always got something cooking, from acting gigs to charity work to opening her own boutique.

8. She isn’t afraid to crank call Lisa Vanderpump
And before 8am!! Seriously, that takes balls.

9. She gives back
Due to her tireless charity work, Kyle was honored by the sCare Foundation with their 2012 Humanitarian Award.

10. She’s a low-maintenance lady
After seeing Housewife Yolanda H. Foster’s glass-fronted, hyper-organized fridge, Kyle was the first to call it crazy. “Color coordinated vegetables!?! With all the kids in my house that would last two seconds.” Oh thank God, it isn’t just us!
