According to the source, both ladies spent almost all day filming the explosive RHoBH reunion, but only Brandi made the final cut. Dana’s segment lasted about 5 minutes, while Eddie Cibrian’s ex was included in a full episode of the reunion. “The husbands got more air time than [Dana] did! She just didn’t add anything,” says the source. (An insider told Wetpaint Entertainment that both “Friends of the Housewives” had scaled back roles in the reunion and waited several hours while the rest of the cast filmed.)
“None of the housewives really took to her this past season and, to be honest, she just wasn’t that interesting,” claims Radar’s source. She may be wealthy (and clearly not afraid to flaunt it) but Dana’s no drama queen like some of her co-stars. “She doesn’t cause or get involved in any drama, which is really what producers are looking for,” admits the insider.
That’s not to say Dana hasn’t given it her best shot. “Lately, she’s been trying to pick online fights with Brandi in a bid to create some scandal, but I think it’s too little, too late,” says the source.
As with all RHoBH casting news, we take this report with a dose of skepticism. Drama is hardly the only ingredient Bravo looks for in their cast members, so we don’t know that Dana is down for the count yet — only yesterday she wrote in her Bravo blog that she’d love to return for Season 3.
