Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson still believes in marriage… but she’s not ready to walk down the aisle with Brooks Ayers quite yet. The on-again, off-again lovers have had a rocky road and right now, it isn't a speedway to a future wedding.
Speaking to Celebuzz, Vicki was a bit defensive about all the backlash she's received about her relationship with Brooks. Recently, co-star Slade Smiley stirred things up even further by saying that she’d admitted to cheating on her Southern man with a mystery guy in Cabo (which Vicki refused to respond to directly).
“You know, if everybody else would just leave us alone, I think we’d be better, but we got all these birds chirping in our ears, so… At the end of the day, it’s my life and my choice, so I don’t know what the future holds,” Vicki said.
When asked if she still believes in marriage despite going through a bitter divorce from her ex Donn, Vicki said, “Absolutely. I love marriage. I just gotta marry the right person.”
Still, she admitted it’s just not the right time for her and Brooks.
“I’m nowhere near marriage material right now. I’m a little damaged a little bit. I believe in love. I believe in commitment. I believe in monogamacy [sic]; I believe in all of that. So, I just gotta find somebody that believes in the same thing," said Vicki.
