Kelsey Grammer stormed off before his interview with Piers Morgan but he was more than willing to discuss his ex-wife — Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Grammer — on Anderson Cooper’s show Anderson Live. Specifically, he talked about regretting appearing on the Bravo show at all.
Season 1 of RHoBH depicted Kelsey and Camille’s marriage falling apart, as he’d met and fallen in love with flight attendant Kayte Walsh.
When asked about his awkward cameos on RHoBH, Kelsey said, "I was trying to pretend things were normal for the sake of somehow letting her have that moment, and it was just ill-advised. It was the wrong decision. I should have come home from England when I first met Kayte and just said, 'Listen, I've met somebody and this hasn't been working for a long time,' and I regret not doing that.”
As he mentioned during his interview with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah’s Next Chapter, Kelsey claims he was attempting to give Camille the fame he thinks she always wanted.
“I thought I could just do something nice, some parting thing,” he said, but the move wound up being “very painful and uncomfortable. It was uncomfortable for Kayte, it was uncomfortable for… all of us.”
Sounds like Kelsey might be reneging on his suggestion that the on-screen divorce drama was just a “show.”
