Ever since Kelsey Grammer’s Piers Morgan Tonight interview on Monday, we’ve been wondering what the actor will do next. He’s already starring in new Starz network drama Boss, and now E! is reporting the former husband of Camille Grammer has announced plans to produce a new comedy called Generations. The series follows a man married to a younger woman, who just so happens to have an ex-wife he can’t stand.
Sound a little familiar? The ex-wife character in the series is also dating a younger man (much like Camille, 43, who’s reportedly cozying up with 35-year-old Dimitri George). Could it be any more obvious the show is based on Kelsey’s own dramatic life?
Apparently, Kelsey pitched the idea to several networks before Fox gave it a script commitment.. Saturday Night Live’s Adam Resnick is set to pen the show’s script.
Camille Grammer has yet to react to any of Kelsey’s comments this week. She tweeted she hasn’t watched the Piers Morgan interview because she assumed Kelsey would be "mean and disrespectful." Guess we know one person who won’t be tuning in to the Generations pilot if it gets picked up!
