Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards has had a tough time knowing how to talk to her daughter about the recent Boston Marathon tragedy, as many parents have had.
Kyle says she tried to shield four-year-old daughter Portia from the grim news about the Boston Marathon explosions on April 15.
However, Portia saw a newspaper story about the horrible event, and so Kyle did her best to explain what happened.
"Yesterday, Portia saw the scary image on the cover of the Los Angeles Times," Kyle wrote on Twitter. "I was scrambling to explain what happened in Boston without scaring her."
So how exactly did Kyle approach the topic?
"With Portia, I focused on all the people helping," she writes.
In fact, the message of helping people really got through to Portia, as it sounds like Portia is now interested in a profession where she can assist people in need.
"She says she wants to be a doctor, so I tried to turn the conversation to that," Kyle explains. How cute is that?
Portia has definitely struck us as a caring individual, so we can definitely see her growing up to get a job in health care.
In fact, if we ever need any medical advice, we now know who to call.
