Alexis Bellino may be called “Jesus Jugs” behind her back (and to her face sometimes), but she’s apparently coined her own term of endearment for fellow church-going Housewife Lydia McLaughlin.

The Real Housewives of Orange County newcomer has said she and Alexis bonded over being mothers and devout Christians. But in Season 8, Episode 4, Alexis referred to Lydia as a “Christian on steroids.”

“I was surprised to see Alexis call me a devout Christian on steroids,” Lydia confessed in a media conference call. "I don’t even know what that means.”

She said as viewers get to know her throughout Real Housewives of Orange County Season 8, they’ll learn more about her eclectic upbringing.

“I believe in Jesus, but you’re going to get to see also I have a hippie mom,” Lydia McLaughlin said. “And I’ve been to India and an ashram.”

Lydia also doesn’t want people to think she’s a super serious person because of her religious choices.

“I think when people hear the word Christian they get a little nervous,” said Lydia. “I’m a very free-spirited, bohemian type of chick. So being called that was definitely like, ‘Whoa, oh no.’ Like my palms started to sweat a little bit.”

From what we’ve seen so far, Lydia is anything but uptight. Let’s just hope she can navigate the RHOC waters safely with her free-spirited ways!
