Who’s livin’ large and who’s been relegated to the pool house? We rank The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for “Leis and Lies in Lanai” in our weekly Power Rankings. Let the countdown begin!
Ranking: 7 (out of 7)
Last week’s ranking: 8 (out of 8)
Here’s why: There were plenty of reasons to put Kim Richards at the bottom of the list this week — missing the flight, lying about her license to her sister, and awkwardly making out with Ken — but our main reason? That comment she made about not thinking Mauricio is good looking. (No one insults Mauricio and gets away with it!) Kim must have high standards; does she also think the Mona Lisa is only so-so and that she could paint something better?
Last week: 5
Here’s why: It’s nice to see Camille Grammer and Brandi Glanville getting along so well, but it seems to encourage Camille to bring out her bawdier side. When it comes to hearing Camille talk about wanting “eight inches of freedom,” we’ll pass. Also, call us old-fashioned, but we feel that cucumbers belong on salads, not your eyelids.
Last week: 3
Here’s why: Adrienne Maloof didn’t have much to do this week, although it was nice (and maybe a tad creepy?) that she defended her brother and his affinity for red Ferraris. Her brother’s car choice might mean that he doesn’t have a chance with Brandi, but somehow we think that a guy who owns a basketball team and a Vegas casino is doing alright with the ladies — especially since we saw him holding hands with that cocktail waitress two episodes ago!
Last week: 4
Here’s why: It was sort of an up-and-down week for the often-blunt fan of teeny-weeny bikinis. Brandi definitely has a way of making everyone laugh, even if we were a little shocked by her ridiculous claim that she roofies herself. And we weren’t too thrilled when she called out Lisa Vanderpump and Ken for lacking passion, especially since her quickie marriage this week proves she’s not exactly an expert on relationships.
Last week: 2
Here’s why: Kyle got a little riled up with Kim while on the phone, but we can understand why, and we did like seeing how much Kyle wants Kim to make it to Hawaii. However, for all her skepticism of Kim’s new boyfriend, Ken, we would have liked to see Kyle at least try to get to know him better at the white party. (Then again, the dude does seem pretty creepy.)
Last week: 6
Here’s why: There was presumably a lot that happened off-camera with Taylor and Russell Armstrong’s split, so we won’t know if it was quite as calm-and-collected as Taylor described it. Still, Taylor’s decision to move forward with her life helps her to earn her highest spot on the Power Rankings all season. We’re here for you, Tay!
Last week: 1
Here’s why: Can anyone knock Lisa out of the top spot in our Rankings? After four straight weeks at number one, we’re not so sure. Lisa was a quip factory as usual, zinging everyone from Kim to Brandi to her once-beloved “life roach,” Cedric. We also appreciated Lisa’s guilt about relaxing on the beach when Taylor calls. And we still can’t decide whose style we envied more: Ken’s lavender jacket or Giggy’s Hawaiian shirt. Looks like Lisa’s men know how to dress!
