If there was one person who had a really rough time on Real Housewives of Orange County Season 7, it was Alexis Bellino. Between her explosive meeting with Tamra Barney, the intervention in Costa Rica, her dissipating friendship with Gretchen Rossi, and her quarrels with Heather Dubrow, she went through a lot. In her post-reunion Bravo blog, Alexis opens up about her thoughts on the season, ticking down point by point where she stands on the people of the show.
First, she stuck up for her husband, Jim, who’s been the target of a lot of comments all season. She wrote, “BUZZ OFF. My marriage does not rely on what any of these women have to say.” For her, their marriage is a partnership, and she’s glad Jim can help put her in her place once in a while. “If this is difficult for some to understand, I have really good news for you — you don't have to understand it because it is what works for me, and if it doesn't work for anyone else, then that's OK,” says Alexis.
As for her co-stars, she said that Tamra Barney owes the Christian community a major apology for her “Jesus Juggs” comment. Also, Alexis doesn’t quite trust Heather Dubrow or her husband, Terry, because they made it seem like Jim crashed their name-changing party, when she thinks it’s clear he was an invitee. As for Gretchen, well, she’s not sure what the future holds. “The person Gretchen really is has been lost to this new mean-girl version. I want my old friend back,” she wrote.
The one Housewife she does have a friendship with these days is Vicki Gunvalson. “I am not claiming she is my best friend, and I am not claiming that she doesn't have faults, because we all do. I just know that this woman does not have a mean, malice [sic] heart,” Alexis says.
What a difference a season can make.
