This isn’t the first time Real Housewives of Orange County’s Gretchen Rossi has now dropped a new single, but it is her sweetest song yet. The blonde reality star debuted “Unbreakable” on Ryan Seacrest’s show this morning.
Unlike some of the other Housewives-turned-singers, such as Dana Wilkey or Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, Gretchen’s not singing about stacks of cash or Chanel. Her song’s actually a tribute to boyfriend Slade Smiley’s 12-year-old son, Grayson, who’s been battling a brain tumor since he was 6.
She told Ryan Seacrest on KiisFM this morning that Grayson’s situation “just really inspired me to write a song about this kid being so young and dealing with so much and being unbreakable despite the fact.”
The anthem, which declares, “I’m unbreakable, you’ll never break me down,” will be available on iTunes starting Tuesday, June 26.
Now, this is the kind of stuff we can get on board with. Atta girl, Gretchen.
