Vicki Gunvalson’s daughter, Briana, had a frightening cancer scare in a recent episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, and now a star of the show reveals she dealt with a similar health issue. While discussing her decision to have her breast implants removed on The Dr. Oz Show, Tamra Barney said that there was more behind her decision than the fact that the implants “felt too big” for her petite frame.

As it turns out, Tamra had medical issues as well. "I had a little health scare," the 43-year-old California native said. "I was going through this divorce. I go to the doctor and I have lumps in my breasts and I had cervical cancer that had to be removed."

The normally fun-loving blonde — who said she was in utter “panic” upon hearing the word cancer — felt that removing her implants was one way to get her body — and life — in check.

"I really went through this like, 'What is going on with my body? What is going on?' I'm talking to my doctor about ... doing a hysterectomy," she says, "and I have lumps and I'm thinking, 'Oh my god. I needed to take over my body.'"

We hope Tamra’s doing better, no implants and all!
