Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi may rock a fabulous body thanks to a healthy lifestyle and well-managed fitness routine these days, but she’s now opening up about her struggles with bulimia in the past.
In fact, when speaking to Celebuzz, Gretchen explained that finally overcoming the eating disorder is what she considers to be one of her life’s biggest accomplishments.
“I was bulimic, and it took me a really long time to get over that. To be honest, I don’t think you ever really get over something like that. I think it’s always kind of back there haunting you, but I finally learned to be healthy and confident and secure in my own skin,” she explained.
“It wasn’t until five years ago that I finally got to that place and stopped comparing myself to tall, skinny models… and I really learned to appreciate my own body and to be thankful that God blessed me with my proportions. My biggest accomplishment was just becoming secure in my own skin.”
Kudos to Gretchen for speaking out about her struggles, and for finding a healthier and happier way to live her life.
