Last night’s dynamite Real Housewives of Orange County introduced us to brunette stunner and friend of the Housewives Sarah Winchester — and let’s just say she made quite the first impression!

The newbie ended up in a verbal brawl with the one Housewife who just can’t seem to stay out of the drama lately: Vicki Gunvalson. But while it may have looked like Sarah instigated the fight to the untrained eye, the feisty brunette took to her Bravo blog to tell her side of the story. In Sarah’s mind, she was just trying to be a nice girl in a room (er, bowling alley) full of mean ones. No, really!

“I was completely caught off-guard when I asked Vicki if I could talk to her for a minute just to be snapped at in return,” the heiress writes. “In all fairness I could see where she might think that Gretchen sent me over to talk to her about their fight, but Gretchen knew nothing about why I went over to talk to Vicki nor did she even want me talking to her.”

We don’t know about you, but we thought Sarah’s tone when approaching Vicki was rather confrontational. Still, the sassy star claims she only wanted to ask Vicki about her daughter’s recent surgery. “I thought it would be a nice gesture to reach out to her — even if it probably wasn't the perfect time,” Sarah writes.

Regardless, in hindsight, Sarah admits she was no princess that night. She called plopping herself down next to Vicki a “rookie” move, although she said her out-of-this-world behavior  (read: near hysteria) was due to stressful life circumstances at the time. (And we’d say a little too much champagne, too.)

Even Ms. Winchester admits her wackadoo behavior was probably a result of a lil’ too many drinks, although she doesn’t regret wearing her “heart on her sleeve.”

“Embarrassed wouldn't even be the right word to describe the outcome of this evening,” she writes, but later says that she “wouldn’t change a thing” about bowling night... except for her champagne intake.
