Tamra Barney Was Truly Surprised When Eddie Judge Finally Proposed on Real Housewives of Orange County
We loved seeing Eddie Judge propose to Tamra Barney in Real Housewives of Orange County, Season 7, Episode 18, but for Tamra, things got a little nerve wracking down in Bora Bora as she waited for him to pop the question. In her Bravo blog, she wrote about her expectations going into the trip and swears she knew he was going to give her a ring.
“When Eddie told me he wanted to take me to Bora Bora, I was excited,” she wrote. “At first the thought of going to such a magical place was enough to make me jump up and down. Then when I started thinking about it, I thought, ‘Oh my. Could this be a wedding proposal?’”
She then proceeded to take every one of Eddie’s lavish gestures — from the couple’s massage to dinner on the beach — to mean the big moment was upon her. Tamra thought that meal on the sand “was the perfect setting. But boy did he throw me for a loop!” When they got back to the room and there were chocolates and flowers everywhere, she was sure that would be the big moment. Wrong again.
It wasn’t until they cracked open some clams after scuba diving and she had mussed hair and makeup that Eddie made the grand gesture. He planned it perfectly because, according to Tamra, it was the one moment she was not expecting it to happen.
“In mind I was expecting him to propose 15 times already, and it didn’t happen … I was in shock when I opened up that clam — and most of all I was truly surprised,” Tam gushed. “In the end, he did it his way and I would have to say he was very creative.”
Why, Tamra seems as happy as a clam! Sorry, we just had to.
