The plot thickens on the “cyber-bullying” case being fought by LeAnn Rimes.

LeAnn checked herself into a treatment facility to seek treatment for emotional stress and anxiety earlier this week, which may have been partially brought on by a supporter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville (the jilted ex-wife of LeAnn’s husband Eddie Cibrian).

The Brandi fan, who according to Radar Online is named Kimberly Smiley, is accused of leaking an audio recording herself taking LeAnn to task over her life decisions. LeAnn’s lawyer Larry Stein filed suit against Kimberly and her 19-year-old daughter Lexi for unlawfully recording the conversation and seeks compensatory damages for the harm caused by their leak.

Now Kimberly, a California high school teacher and mother of four, is fighting back with plans to take out her own action against LeAnn.

Speaking to Radar Online, Kimberly said that it is her, not LeAnn, who’s being “bullied” and that she intends to do something about it. “This could impact my family and business,” she explained. “Somebody needs to stand up or LeAnn will continue doing this for the rest of her life.”

Kimberly contends that she has a right to her own opinions about LeAnn but that she’s no bully. “She blocked me on Twitter and then I took my account private, so how can I bully her if I’m blocked AND have a private account? It makes no sense.” Kimberly professed that daughter Lexi’s future employment could be affected by LeAnn’s decision to name her in the suit and that the girl “was in tears over the lawsuit.”

She also asserts that it was LeAnn who brought the whole phone conversation about in the first place. “She called ME,” Kimberly declared. “She was trying to berate me into liking her. When she didn’t get her way she got frustrated.”

This is getting ugly fast.
