The Real Housewives of Orange County is celebrating its 100th episode with the Season 8 premiere on April 1, and original cast member Vicki Gunvalson has been there from the beginning.
Talking to the Associated Press before the new season of RHOC airs, she reflected on the last eight years — and why she continues to do the show after everything from her divorce to fights with her children have been documented in detail for the world to see.
“I have a sense of responsibility,” Vicki said. “I would've been (expletive) at myself if I backed out of Season 5 or 6 and saw the success of the franchise keep going, and I elected to pull back because I couldn't handle it anymore. There's nothing I can't handle. I just have to figure out a way not to crumble when times get tough when I'm doing this."
One thing Vicki Gunvalson has done for her sanity is learn to separate her image on Real Housewives of Orange County from the rest of her life.
“The reality is when we're not filming, we're not hanging out together," said Vicki. "We're not going on vacations together. I really had to separate my on-camera friends from my off-camera friends. That's helped me get through the uncomfortable times."
We’re definitely curious to see how Vicki’s relationships with the other Real Housewives cast members have changed when Season 8 premieres!
