If you were worried about Real Housewives of Orange County’s Vicki Gunvalson after her recent and very public divorce from Donn Gunvalson, you can breathe a sigh of relief: Despite the recent controversy, Vicki is happy with her new man, Brooks Ayers.

Wetpaint Entertainment chatted with Vicki on Saturday, just before the Real Housewives Live Tour in Atlantic City, where she told us that single life is "awesome" for her. "I'm dating a great man," she explained. "I'm very happy."

And she dished even more details about her new beau during the live show. We now know he's a Mississippi gentleman whom she met five years ago through the insurance biz. OK, so maybe he failed to pay child support for a while, but hey, the economy is bad for all of us.

During the show, Vicki also made a point of clarifying one other important relationship matter: When Donn infamously interviewed that he was "blindsided" by being served with the divorce papers, he did not mean he was blindsided by the separation itself. The couple had already discussed and agreed that it was for the best. Donn just didn't expect for the process to become part of the Housewives — which, given that Vicki admitted that she initially wanted to keep it private, is no surprise.

So, after seven seasons of turmoil, what has this original Housewife learned? When we asked her what advice she has for new and prospective Housewives, she had a very succinct answer: "Zipper up. It's going to be a bumpy ride!"
