Kim Richards' fame has had two major phases. Since 2010, she's been famous for being one of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She's had some serious ups-and-downs on the show, including admitting to alcohlism and going into rehab, but lately, things are looking up for Kim!

Kim Richards certainly started off on a successful foot. As a child, she was a well-known actor (Kim was born in 1964), with notable roles in the TV show Nanny and the Professor and in several Disney movies, including Escape to Witch Mountain. Kim appeared in lots of '70s and '80s TV shows, including Alice, Fantasy Island, and The Love Boat, then went into semi-retirement in the 1990s.

Kim's sister Kyle Richards, another of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, was also a child actor, though she did not appear in as many film and TV projects as Kim.

Kim's romantic relationships have also brought her a degree of notoriety. Her second husband, Gregg Davis, is the son of oil tycoon Marvin Davis. After she and Gregg divorced, Kim started dating and became engaged to a commodities trader named John Collett.

In October of 1991, Collett, who was allegedly involved in a complicated financial scheme in which investors lost millions, was murdered by a hit man outside a deli in the town of Northridge, CA. He and Kim were talking on the phone when he was shot — an experience that Kim says has had a profound impact on her. No wonder!
