Growing up in Hannibal, Missouri, Alexis Bellino probably never would have guessed that she would one day join the cast of one of reality TV’s cattiest shows: The Real Housewives of Orange County. But she did! Alexis became a bona fide reality star in the show’s fifth season, and she’s caused plenty of drama since then.

But what about Alexis before Real Housewives? Who is Alexis Bellino, anyway?

After graduating from Hannibal High School, Alexis got her marketing degree from the University of Missouri. She married hometown sweetheart, Jeff Barry, in 2002, and the couple moved to San Diego shortly thereafter, but things didn’t go very well once they got there. The couple divorced in 2003 after only 15 months of marriage. (Once Alexis was on RHOC, Jeff was happy to spill the sordid details to Star magazine, complete with accusations of infidelity and gold-digging.)

Her divorce from Jeff was finalized in 2004, and in 2005 Alexis married her current husband, Jim Bellino. The two live in Newport Beach with their three kids, son James and twin daughters Melania and Mackenna. She joined the cast of RHOC in 2009, and has been (sort of) happily a housewife and a Housewives star ever since!

Of course, Alexis has plenty of side projects to keep her busy. She had a regular gig as a newscaster for Fox 5, launched a very well-received fashion line of sexy, revealing dresses, written beauty tips, and she and her husband own Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Anaheim, California. Eclectic, to say the least.

Alexis is also a proud Christian, which has sets her apart from her less obviously spiritual fellow Housewives and earned her the nickname “Jesus Jugs” from castmate Tamra Barney.

Most recently, Alexis has made Real Housewives of Orange County headlines because of her indecision over returning to the show! There were plenty of rumors that she didn’t want to come back because she’d been so badly bullied by her castmates (see: above nickname), and shortly after she officially withdrew from the show.

But not for long! Not long after announcing her retirement, Alexis would indeed be back for RHOC Season 8. And that is what makes her such good TV. See you soon, Lex!
