If you tuned into Season 2, Episode 7 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, you were probably wondering the same thing we were. Who on earth was that fabulous man in the red skinny tie planning Lisa Vanderpump’s daughter’s wedding? 

Kevin Lee is a staple in Beverly Hills event planning. In fact, he was featured on the reality show Brides of Beverly Hills on TLC alongside legendary wedding expert Renée Strauss, who opened her exclusive wedding salon in Beverly Hills in 1982. Canada’s National Post interviewed the pair in July, calling Kevin the “real-life inspiration behind Martin Short’s over-the-top wedding planner in Father of the Bride.” 

We knew we were onto something when we said he reminded us of Martin Short’s Franck Eggelhoffer character!

Kevin has blogged wedding tips for GetMarried.com, where he wrote one piece that caught our eye, “Princess Pink for your Wedding.” If he’s such a believer in pink, why he was so against Pandora’s pink roses and diamonds for her wedding dress? He even calls the shade the “ultimate color for every princess bride.” (Throughout Season 2 Kevin and Lisa continued to butt heads on everything from wedding invitations to whether or not Pandora's big day should cost $1 million or not.)

Wedding planning aside, Kevin is also noted for contributing to various award show parties and other celebrity events for the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise, Elizabeth Taylor, and Tori Spelling — who just so happened to blog about this week’s RHoBH episode, saying: “If you watched my wedding show “Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings,” Lee looks familiar. He was the florist who couldn’t grasp what color coral was.” 

Tori also confirms that she has the inside scoop on the Father of the Bride rumor — and the character was definitely based on Kevin!
