A source close to the network tells Radar Online producers were reluctant to sign Taylor for another season after husband Russell’s shocking suicide last year but didn’t want to seem insensitive by firing the 40-year-old single mom.
“I think a lot of their decision was based purely on the fact that they felt bad just dumping her after all she went through last year," an insider told Radar. Instead, Bravo is “definitely looking to phase her out of the show gradually,” says the source, adding that producers don’t feel that Taylor has much to bring to the table anymore.
Some viewers — and co-star Brandi Glanville — felt Taylor acted inappropriately by publishing a memoir about her troubled marriage and Russell’s alleged abuse, Hiding From Reality, so soon after her husband’s suicide.
In Season 2, Taylor spent much of her time on camera distraught and emotional. Knowing everything she’s been through, we can only hope she’s less dramatic this season. Although, that didn’t work out so well for Camille Grammer…
