Both The Artist's Uggie and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Giggy took home awards at the first-annual Golden Collar Awards. Lisa Vanderpump poses with the well-dressed pooches.
Who doesn’t love a cute pooch? Just a few weeks before the 84th Oscar Awards, Hollywood took time to honor man’s best friend with the first inaugural Golden Collar Awards on February 13.
The brainchild of Dog News Daily founder Alan Siskind, the doggie-centric awards ceremony was created to pay homage to the best canines in the film and TV industry in traditional Hollywood style. About time, right?
Not so shockingly, Lisa Vanderpump’s Giggy the pom was invited to the star-studded soirée. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ resident pooch fit right in with other big-name winners, which included Modern Family’s Brigitte (Stella) and The Artist’s Uggie.
Giggy spent the days leading up to the event tweeting about the awards and his potential big win. It turns out this is one canine whose bark isn’t bigger than his bite: The pint-sized pooch took Tinseltown when he tied with Pit Boss’ Hercules for best dog in a reality television series.
The Giggster is taking his tie in stride. “A happy valentines day ...to all of you, from your award winning little superstar #egobiggerthanmistress,” he tweeted on February 14. Happy Valentine’s Day to our favorite dog in a reality TV series!
