Newest addition to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Yolanda Foster, and her record-producer husband, David Foster, chatted with Wetpaint Entertainment. She dished on growing up in Holland, joining the show, and keeping romance alive in her marriage.

Wetpaint Entertainment: How did you feel coming into the show? Nervous? Excited?
Yolanda Foster: No, I wasn’t nervous because I’m not scared of anything or anybody. I went in with an open heart and full of excitement. I wanted to embrace every girl on the show and create relationships one on one and that’s what I’ve done.

Did you know anyone besides Lisa?
No, I never met any of the girls, but I met Lisa.

What will viewers be surprised to learn about you?
You know, I’m a girl who was born and raised on a farm in Holland, milking cows and riding horses. I live a pretty big life today but like I said, I’m just a country girl and I will always be. My life is about horses and taking care of my husband, and we live a pretty normal life.

Your slogan is “Get wise, keep the romance alive”, how do you apply that to your own relationship?
Yolanda: I am so…
David: Romantically driven, you are.
Yolanda: I am but I am…
David: I have to be on my toes all the time! Like I said, it’s just the simple things she wants, like it’s a lit candle or ‘Come home and set the table just for the two of us up in our bedroom.’ Just simple things that don’t cost any money but they’re just romantic.
Yolanda: For me, it’s like don’t buy me a diamond ring. Just write me a little love note or put a candle on when I come home or put a note in my luggage when I travel. That’s what we want. It’s what matters to us as women. That’s what keeps me going in life.
