They’d exchanged letters back and forth for seven months — he from Afghanistan, she from Orange County. They’d argue that it was nothing serious, but their affection for each other couldn’t be denied.

Just one week after he returned home, Briana Wolfsmith and Ryan Culberson realized they never wanted to be apart. The duo got engaged in November of 2011 and began their fairytale life together after eloping in Las Vegas.
