Real Housewives of Miami star Adriana De Moura feels for Alexia Echevarria's situation with her sons, as Adriana explains that she's dealt with similar difficulty.
On this week's episode, Alexia was taken aback when her son, Peter, got into a hostile confrontation with a taxi driver. Now, Adriana is saying that gets what Alexia is going through.
"I felt for Alexia when she cried during the talk she had with her son Peter," Adriana De Moura writes in her Bravo blog. "I empathize with her, and we women who had kids and then had gotten divorced from their fathers, deal with many issues when it comes to raising our sons."
"Children don't come with a manual!" Adriana adds. "We mothers try to do our best to protect our sons — it was heartbreaking to see her struggling with that."
Adriana also says that it's been nice to see her son bond with Frederic Marq. "I'm so happy to be able to start showing the viewers the backstage of my wedding," she writes. "Frederic and I went through a lot, and finally I see my son loving him and bonded with him. My son's happiness always came before mine, but now he is ready, and I'm also ready, so it is time to get our wedding ceremony going!"
She also explains why she asked her guests to conform to rather strict wardrobe requests. "[The Biltmore] hotel was built in the 1920s, so I decided to ... do a roaring ‘20s themed party!" she says. "Hence, the need for the guests to change from the all-white, pure, and peaceful attire required for the church to the more glamorous attire representative of The Great Gatsby look."
We suppose that a wedding day is the one day when a bride can be as demanding as she wants, right?
