There were a few hiccups throughout the wedding, including the guests having to wear all white for the ceremony and then change into 1920s attire for the reception. So why all white? Adriana tells Us Weekly she chose the color to have "no negative energy. It was about peace and love and just purity in the sense of emotions and intentions."
Also adding drama was the fact that the ceremony and reception both started about an hour-and-a-half later than scheduled. As we saw on the episode, Adriana almost fainted while getting dressed for the wedding. "I was just so overwhelmed at a certain point, I felt like I was just going to faint," she says now.
"I was just so drained by all of the things I had to do prior to and the day of that I was just literally almost passing out," Adriana adds. "I was just overwhelmed, physically and emotionally, I guess."
What we didn't see at the ceremony was that Alex, her 12-year-old son from a previous marriage, read a Maya Angelou poem and played a Chopin prelude on piano. Then, at the reception, Adriana and her guests hit the dance floor and partied until almost 1 a.m. Sounds like a blast!
"After we finally got to the party and the dinner turned into dessert and the champagne started rolling, we started to have fun, and then everybody was on the dance floor," Adriana shares. "I danced with Frederic, I danced with my son, and I danced with my bridesmaids, and then everybody started dancing to my song. It was a fun party."
Ultimately, the wedding "came out exactly the way [I] dreamt and even better in some ways," Adriana says. Congrats to the happy family!
