Melissa Gorga of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is plain fed up, people. The singer and mother recently chatted with Us Weekly where she explained where she was at emotionally at the start of Season 5, listing all of the things that had pushed her to the edge.
"I was fed up with trying. I was fed up of being set up," she sighed. The set-up she's referring to is the infamous Season 4 "Strippergate," where Teresa Giudice supposedly hatched an elaborate plan to expose Melissa's past as a stripper by having her former employer from the club run into her at a party. Teresa still insists she had nothing to do with the situation, but Melissa is convinced her sister-in-law deliberately set her up.
Which brings her to her next statement.
"I was fed up of giving my heart to and trying with family ... and getting mud thrown in my face," Melissa added.
During the Season 5 premiere, Melissa and Teresa met for a playdate with their daughters, the first time they had seen each other since the explosive Season 4 Reunion. It was an awkward start, but a start nonetheless!
