July 14’s episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey found our favorite relatives — the Gorgas, the Giudices, and the Wakiles — at a family retreat in upstate New York. As you can imagine, the trip ended in disaster when brother-in-laws, Joe Giudice and Joe Gorga, got into a fist fight. Cousin Kathy Wakile took to her BravoTV blog to say that she wasn’t surprised with the outcome, seeing as everyone went into the retreat with a bad attitude.
“If you commit to a weekend of team building, then you have to stay positive and be open to the possibilities of helping make things better,” wrote Kathy, following up with “ I was really getting annoyed with the negativity before we even started.”
Kathy mostly talked in her blog about the fact that everyone should’ve come in with open hearts and open minds, leaving the past in the past and working towards moving forward. However, things didn’t go as planned (as if they ever do with this bunch).
“We all had this expectation on how this was going to play out with re-dedicating ourselves to having consistent partnerships and improving the commitments of each relationship. Instead,” she mused “the anger and frustration bubbles over and OMG it blows up, big time!”
But despite all the negativity we’ve seen on TV (and will continue to see play out), Kathy assured fans that things do somehow manage to get better.
“We eventually do get to a good place,” she wrote. “You’re probably wondering how...you'll just have to keep watching. Even now, it is good to have experienced it all and be watching all over again -- breakthroughs for anyone are monumental moments.”
Is there any wonder why she’s called the level-headed one in the bunch?!
