Looks like the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast is going to be in the public eye yet again as it was confirmed on July 24 that Jacqueline Laurita, her hubby, Chris, and co-star Joe Gorga will have to appear in front of a judge in September to face charges of assault and making terroristic threats stemming from the “brawl” they were involved in this past March.
Court officials announced that the criminal cases against Jac, Chris, and Joe will proceed on September 5 at 4:30 p.m. ET. Also joining the gang will be John “Johnny the Greek” Karagiorgias, who filed the charges against the H’wives trio. But don’t think Johnny’s going to get off easy: The three also filed counterclaims against him, which he will have to prove are unfounded.
For those of you that may need a refresher, these four got into a heated altercation at Friend of the Housewives, Kim D.’s boutique, Posche 2 back in March. John, who says that he’s completely innocent, claims that the fight left him with several injuries. Jac testified in court in April that Johnny — who she alleged is “obsessed” with trying to be on RHoNJ — came “looking for a fight,” and lunged at her. That’s when hubby Chris and friend Joe came to her rescue.
In April, a judge decided that after hearing from all parties, there was enough evidence to proceed with the charges.
There’s so many sides to this story, that honestly we don’t know what to believe. But you can bet your bottom dollar that we’ll be keeping up with the trial when it hits the courtroom this fall.
