Teresa and Joe Giudice were indicted last week for 39 serious charges, including but not limited to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and bank fraud. If convicted of both of these charges alone, The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple could face 50 years in prison.
The other charges against the couple also carry penalties of additional time behind bars.
With a massive prison sentence looming (though it’s important to note that neither Teresa nor Joe have been convicted of anything at this time) our thoughts immediately turned to Teresa and Joe’s four daughters, who would effectively have no one looking after them if both of their parents were sent to jail for any amount of time.
However, a source close to the Giudice family tells Wetpaint Entertainment exclusively that the girls, Gia 12, Gabriella, 9, Milania, 6 and Audriana, 3 will be well taken care of should their parents be unable to care for them.
“The kids would go to Teresa's mom and dad. No question. They're the only people she'd trust to take care of them," our source reveals.
While we won’t know anything more about the Giudice’s fate until they are arraigned on August 14, these charges could carry significant consequences for the RHoNJ family.
