While The Real Housewives of New Jersey has always been dramatic, the action in Season 5 pales in comparison to the real-life insanity surrounding Teresa and Joe Giudice’s fraud trial. The couple was indicted on 39 federal fraud charges and heads to trial in February 2014.

Since news broke, the Giudice family has been in the spotlight more than ever, and not in a good way. Friends and foes alike have reached out with their support — including frenemy and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga.

At the end of August, she told Wetpaint Entertainment that Teresa is “good” and “very strong,” and when we caught up with her again at the McDonald’s Mighty Wings launch party on September 15, she revealed even more details — this time about how the Giudice kids are doing.

When asked if the Gorga and Giudice children have seen each other since the trial, she responded, “Yeah, they got to see each other over the summer, which is nice,” explaining that they’re doing more than just OK. “Everyone seems very happy and very good,” she added.

However, there’s one thing Melissa won’t be doing for Teresa: giving her advice. Instead, she’ll let Tre come to her if she needs anything. “She knows we’re here to support her, and that’s that,” she said definitively. Sounds like a good plan to us.
