It's hard to believe, but Season 5 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is officially a wrap, people! It was an interesting year for the gang as they traveled first upstate and then westward, undergoing therapy and healing along the way.

In Lake George, the situation between the Gorgas and the Giudices came to a head when the Joe's ended up getting into a brawl. Apparently, though, hitting rock bottom was just what Dr. V ordered. By the end of the trip, Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice managed to make amends.

Next up, the troop headed to Arizona where they practiced alternative therapy involving horses and high wires. We saw a lot of emotional breakdowns and the group made even more strides in strengthening their family ties.

Once they got back to Jersey, however, it was drama as usual, although things did end on a good note, with Teresa finally owning up to her past mistakes and apologizing to her brother for hurting him over the years.

In some ways, their journey paralleled Hurricane Sandy, starting with the perfect storm and ending with some much needed "rebuilding."
