While Real Housewives of New Jersey fans are sitting on the edge of their seat in anticipation of Teresa and Joe Giudice’s trial for 39 counts of fraud, Tre’s her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga is sticking by her side for support.

“Listen, will we ever be absolute best friends? I don’t know, I wish that we could, but we’re in a much better place than we’ve been in a really long time and we’re trying for the kids,” Melissa told Wendy WIlliams about her and Tre’s struggle to get along.

But what does Melissa think about Teresa’s current situation? “Obviously she’s in a very difficult situation and I’m just here to support,” Melissa said. “Our problem right now, with this big picture, seem so petty.”

And how about Tre and Joe saying that the Melissa and her husband Joe Giudice wouldn’t be taking care of the kids if they go to prison? “I think it was a dig, but then again I think it was a petty comment and as long as the kids are taken care of, it’s fine — wherever they go is fine — as long as they’re taken care of. It is what it is,” Melissa said.

For now we’re preparing for what is sure to be a very emotional reunion for the New Jersey housewives. “It’s a little different than you’re used to, but it’s powerful,” Melissa teased. From the sound of things, we can look forward to a lot of aha moments and no hair-pulling, so that’s good, right?
