Real Housewives of New Jersey fans have been clamoring for a shakeup in the wake of Season 5, which many fans considered boring, and which was certainly low rated compared to the past. It turns out their wish will be granted. RHoNJ mainstay voice of reason Caroline Manzo is officially leaving the show (but fans will still be able to catch her on her spin-off, Manzo’d With Children).

Here's the million viewer question: Is this change a good thing, or a big disappointment?

As we said, a lot of fans are frustrated, and think the show has lapsed into repetitive and boring fights. The loss of an original cast member will theoretically shake things up in a big way, which is exactly what people have been begging for.

That said, Caroline wasn't the source of the problem in most fans' minds. Most of the gripeing is about Melissa and Teresa's seemingly neverending feud (which even Melissa thinks is "too much"), and plenty of fans appreciate Caroline's straightforward, no-nonsense approach to all the craziness around her.

So, we want your thoughts. Will the loss of Caroline open up some new opportunities for different drama, or are we losing a fan fave without getting anything in return?

Are you happy Caroline is leaving, or are you going to miss her grounded, no-nonsense attitude? Sound off in the comments below!
