Uh-oh. Teresa Giudice's oldest daughter, Gia Giudice, got herself into a bit of trouble when she made the mistake of typing a gay slur on social media while conversing with one of her friends. She got a lot of backlash for her comment and we're pretty sure she learned her lesson:  The Real Housewives of New Jersey offspring felt terrible about what she said, poor kid. In fact, Gia even made a public apology for her actions via Star.

The drama began when one of her guy friends received a tweet saying, "I miss texting you every day." Gia decided to jump into the conversation by commenting, "who's this chick you little f**got."

Obviously, Gia's blatant use of the F-word didn't leave very much room for a misunderstanding. The teen definitely used offensive language.

But, she really couldn't feel more badly about it.

The young star spoke to Star, where she explained, “People took it as a gay slur. I would never think that way. It was a mistake to joke, but that’s not what I meant. So that’s hard, and I feel awful. I have to take responsibilities for my actions because I am always in the public eye.”

We think it's super mature and admirable for Gia to own up to her mistake and tell the world she's sorry for what she said. Good for her!
