Amber Marchese has yet to make her debut on Season 6 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but she's already stiletto-deep in drama with other women. In this case, it's not one of her fellow Bravo Real Housewives, but her husband's real-life ex wife she's dealing with. According to Radar Online, the former couple has been fighting a custody battle for years, which means we may never even see Amber's stepchildren on the show.

According to records Radar retrieved, Amber's husband, James, tried to gain full custody of his kiddos on several occasions a few years after his 2004 divorce, presenting the court with five reasons why he felt his ex, Rebecca, was an unfit mother to his children.

Per the court documents, the reasons were: "The defendant (1) was being evicted for the second time; (2) had tried to have one of their sons falsely diagnosed with autism; (3) failed to provide him with ongoing medical and educational information on the children; (4) tried to have plaintiff put in jail for violating a final restraining order; and (5) had pled guilty to a second-degree felony that would likely result in jail time.”

Yikes, that doesn't sound too promising. But, as it often happens in these cases, the judge ruled in favor of mom. According to Radar, the judge denied the motion, saying that James failed to provide evidence of changed circumstance that would justify a custody change.

The judge went on to point out that the boys are actually thriving under their mother's care, further proof that they are in the right place.

It certainly sounds like Amber comes prepared with some experience in drama.
