We've been hearing rumors about it for months, and now we've sadly gotten the confirmation: Jacqueline Laurita won't be returning to Real Housewives of New Jersey for Season 6. But Jac is explaining her decision and revealing what she plans to be doing instead of appearing on the show.

"Right now, I’m really just enjoying time with my family and I’m writing a few books,” Jacqueline tells Life & Style. "My husband [Chris Laurita] and I are writing a book together about our journey with autism."

"My other passion is the beauty industry, so I’m also writing a book about busy moms and beauty things," she continues. "I’m also writing children’s books! I enjoy writing — that’s what I love."

We think it's great that Jac is now getting a chance to focus on her writing, and all of her planned books sound like they're going to be awesome!

So might she return to RHoNJ after taking this season off? "I needed a little bit of a break, but we’ll see what happens from there," Jacqueline says. "It’s just been really great with my family. I feel like I’m in a very good place."

Jacqueline feels very comfortable and happy with the fact that she will be away from the show this season, so we're excited for her. We wish her and her family all the best. Happy writing!

Will you miss Jac on the show next season?
